its already September…. maybe there aren’t any winners….
yes me too, I wonder why no publications yet for winners? I’m still waiting.
i know the winners
do you have a link for the winners?
Nice site:)
FYI, There’s already winners. They were contacted thru emails, July pa sila tinawagan. The awards is on the 2nd week of September at the Shangri-La, Makati. No online announcements yet.
Thanks guys, anyway it would be great if they posted the winners online so that we can see their entries as well. Ako na yata ang pinakamalayong participant, from Davao..Sana they will give Certificates for those who attended.
Luke, I don’t think na harang ang Toyota nor Dentsu, isa pa I know that it’s not only the ad agency people who judged the contest, There were people from different industry as well, the Academe, and media. Tsaka, hindi ako naniniwala na bata-bata yan, I knew some people who won the top prizes na hindi taga ahensya at walang kinalaman sa mga dirty stuff na yan, I think everything is fair and square. Also, the participants were not only from Filipinos from the Philippines, I heard some of them were OFWs from around the globe pa. So Art Edge was a great competition, let’s just wait and see na lang:-)
Whoa..may mas malayo pa pala..kala ko only here in the Philippines lng.
No Jamez, ‘Pag sinabing All Filipinos, expect Pinoys from outside the country (OFWs) would participate, lalo na’t they’d announced it online
that’s right..sumali ka rin?
Yeah, I got in the top 3.
wow great..congrats
Sure, Thanks!
Hi Luke,
As one of the members of the ArtEdge organizing committee, I would like assure you that the competition was judged by a very competent group:
Final judges were
- Pandy Aviado, Visual artist and former Director of the Cultural Center of the Philippines Coordinating Center for the Visual Arts
- Ruel Virtucio, Dean of the iAcademy
- Jaykee Evangelista, Senior Art Director for Top Gear magazine
Shortlisting judges were
- Ross Capili, Visual artist, photographer
- Drew Europeo, Web designer and visual artist
- Nico Puertollano, Graphic designer, multimedia artist and film director
- Cesar Hernando, Visual artist, Digital Film Director and UP College of Fine Arts faculty member
The judges were chaired by Mr. Dopy Doplon, graphic designer, coffeetable book artist.
Yes, there was one Dentsu rep. who was part of the judging group — Dentsu Executive Art Director, Rowell See. There was also one Toyota executive who was part of the judging committee.
It took some time to announce the winners because it was quite difficult to get a hold of and verify the identities of the 3 major prize winners and 20 consolation prize winners.
All 23 winners were recognized at an awarding ceremony that was held yesterday at the Shangri-La hotel. The event was covered by members of the media so expect announcements over the next few weeks.
To James, thanks again for participating. As for the certificate of participation, we are working on that right now; however, due to the number of participants, this may take some time. Add to this, the fact that a lot of the participants did not include their complete address. So, we are having a tough time coordinating with everyone.
But, we will do our best to give each participant some form of recognition at the soonest possible time.
If any of the participants have any valid questions, please feel free to send me an email at kilroywas@gmail.com
Again, thank you to everyone who participated.
Thanks Rick:)
Galing ng mga nanalo.
