Vector Graphics Contest WORLD OF CORELDRAW 2008

Corel Corporation, Wacom Company and Powerclip.ru Project have announced the beginning of the contest for the best portrait.
Professional artists and designers, fans of computer painting and graphics, groups of artists, design studios and other unions are welcome to take part in the contest. Not only real people but also fantasy characters can be chosen as the objects for your creativity. The key is to convey the person’s nature.

The works are accepted from July 1st, 2008 till September 30th 2008 on POWERCLIP.RU web site. This Russian project has been created to join people working with vector graphics as the tool for their creative conceptions, and at the same time willing to learn and share their experience and works. To submit your work you should register first (note, all information is in Russian).

Requirements as to the works.
Works in CorelDraw format (cdr format) only are accepted. No raster effects such as: shade, glow, etc. can be used in the work. Gradients, Gradient Transparence, and Mesh fill tool are allowed to use.

Prizes.
There will be three winners awarded by Wacom Graphic Tablets and CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4, and also special diplomas “World оf CorelDRAW – 2008″.

About the contest WORLD OF CORELDRAW.
The first contest WORLD OF CORELDRAW – “Faces” was held in July 2007.
There were 200 works received, 75 of them were published.
The results of the contest were set store by the central Corel office in London, and 5 contest works were placed in CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4 art gallery.
